IWS India is pleased to invite all to the 1st International Watercolor Society India Biennial 2015 "Harmony Through Watercolor 2015" to be held in New Delhi, the national capital of India.
A total of 350 artworks will be on display at the Gallery of New Delhi: All India Fine Arts and Crafts society (AIFACS) located at No.1, Rafi Marg, New Delhi, Delhi 110001.
The exhibition programme will continue till the 8th of December and will include various watercolor demonstrations and talks to be held at the same venue.
Festival Schedule
3 December - Opening ceremony starting with the Musical programme, speeches and Award ceremony.
4 December- Four demonstrations by master artists and a visit to Cannaught place, the commercial hub located in the heart of the city.
5 December- Three workshops by master artists and a visit to India Gate and National Gallery of Modern Art.
6 December - Visit to Delhi Haat and closing ceremony in the evening.
The Exhibition will run til the 8th of December.
An Invitation to Join the Exhibition
Each IWS Country may send paintings to represent their art community. Members must submit paintings for consideration to their respective IWS organization.
Each artist may send only one painting for consideration and must include the following:
1. Name of the artist.
2. Title of the painting.
3. Size.
4. Country.
The photograph must not exceed 2MB in size.
Artists chosen to be part of the country's delegation (in painting representation) is bound to a particiption fee of $80 which will be paid as a collective to IWS India via bank deposit by the 30th of August.
The cost for mailing of original artwork to India for IWS Philippines will be shouldered (divided amongst) participating members of the group.

Conditions for the Artworks:
- Theme: Open or Unrestricted. Must be done using watercolor technique.
- Original Artworks of the artist only and must not be older than 2 years.
- If using a photograph taken by another for reference, please make sure to secure a written permission for its use from the owner of the image. This is to avoid copyright infringement problems that may arise as the artwork's image may be used for the promotion of the event.
- Size: not exceeding 22 X 30 inches (56 X 76 cm)
- Please mention the details of the artist name, surname, title of the artwork, size, e-mail and your address at the back of your artwork.
- Artworks should not be framed or mounted as they will be framed once they are received in India.
- Please download and accomplish the form below. Scan and include with your submission to your respective IWS.
Awards & Certificates
Each Artist participating in the Exhibition will be awarded Certificates. Top 20 Selected Artworks will be honored with the Trophies out of which best 3 Artworks will be honored with Gold, Silver & Bronze Medals.
Deadlines to be observed for each IWS branch.
31 July 2015 - Send number of estimated participants to IWS India to help with feasibility study in preparation for their event.
30 August 2015 - Respective IWS country heads will send the filled application forms with photographs of the paintings to IWS India by email.
30 August 2015 - Bank deposit of collective participation fee ($80 per artist) to IWS India organizers.
15th October 2015 - Final date for receiving of original artworks in India.
